Maggie may need an intervention

Like most book junkies, I have a TBR pile that won’t quit and a tendency to abuse the one-click option. I read across genres and on multiple platforms – a fact that makes my hubby (a non-reader) crazy.

Primarily, I read on my iPad, which currently boasts Kindle, Nook, Kobo, iBooks, BlueFire and Scribd apps. Here’s what’s in progress on each of them at the moment:

Kindle: Tempting the Player – Kat Latham

Nook: One in A Million – Jill Shalvis

Kobo: Nothing at the moment, but Courtney Milan’s Proof by Seduction is waiting.

iBooks: The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever – Julia Quinn

BlueFire Reader: Blamed by Edie Harris

Scribd: Just finished Lisa Kleypas’ Worth Any Price

I also have my old Kindle 2, which is my bathtub reader. There, I’ve got Enemy Mine by Megan Mitcham loaded and ready to go!

In case of complete battery failure, there’s a paperback copy of Vivienne Lorret’s Winning Miss Wakefield on my nightstand.

This year, I’ve discovered the joys of ‘rereading’ some old favorites via audiobook as I commute to the day job and home again. Thanks to Audible and OverDrive, I’ve made my way through the entire Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, Susan Elizabeth Phillips’ entire backlist and I’m starting in on Nora with a classic – Hot Ice.

Who me? I, uh, I don’t have a book problem. Do you think I have a book problem?

Well, if this is my biggest vice, I can live with it.

What about you? What’s your weakness?
