Celebrating that Tenth Book Anniversary!

Out July 13, 2015!

This month sees my Tenth Book Anniversary with Carina Press!

It’s particularly cool because Harlequin keeps track of such things and I’m looking forward to seeing my name on the list of ten-book authors. Of course, there are ladies on there with a hundred books or more.

Just… wow.

Amazing how time flies by, huh? My first Carina book, SAPPHIRE, came out in October of 2011. I was in Puerto Celebratory drink!Rico doing work for my day job on release day, so that evening I swam in the ocean and had a celebratory drink at the beach bar. It was a lovely way to enjoy the moment.Sapphire by Jeffe Kennedy

Since then, none of my release days have been as laid back. I’ve always been glued to the computer, answering congrats and sowing various social media seeds. Both ways are good.

This year, however, I’ll be on the road again for the release of UNDER CONTRACT on July 13. We’re taking a road trip up to Billings, Montana, to visit my stepson, daughter-in-law and their brand new baby boy – our third grandchild.

It feels full circle in many ways, that I’ll be pretty much offline on release day again. But I think I’ll make sure to have a drink in a pretty spot, to commemorate the moment. So many good things to savor – new books, new babies. The milestones arrive and fade behind. And it’s all good.

What unusual anniversaries do you all celebrate – and what’s your favorite way to do it?

Under Contract

Ryan Black has admired Celestina Sala from afar for years, her lush body and sensual nature calling to the dominant in him. For just as many years, Celestina was off-limits—married, proud and self-sufficient. But all that has changed, and now Celestina is in debt and in need…and available. Ryan proposes a contract: he’ll pay off her debt if she gives herself to him in bed, yielding control in exchange for the pain and pleasure he’ll bring them both.

There are words for women who take money for sex, and none of them are nice ones. Celestina never thought she’d have to sink this low, but giving up control sounds more enticing than ever before. And suddenly it’s not about having to give in to Ryan. It’s about wanting to.

But when Ryan’s dark past comes to light, they may both be in over their heads. The terms of his contract say her body is his…but her heart may be another story.

One thing is for sure—now that Ryan has Celestina, he can never let her go.
