Didn’t We Have Fun?

Farewell courtesy of Sophia Louise

It feels so strange to be making my final post here at the Contemporary Romance Cafe. There’s a sense of sadness, but there is also a sense of serenity, knowing that collectively we made the right decision to close the doors of the Cafe. Last night I was thinking of what I’d say in this post and one of the songs I can’t get enough of right now immediately came to mind. Here are the partial lyrics of “Fun” by Coldplay, featuring Tove Lo:

The sun on snow, rivers in rain
Crystal ball can foresee a change
And I know it’s over, a parting of ways
And it’s done
But didn’t we have fun?
Don’t say it was all a waste
Didn’t we have fun?

We certainly had fun sharing our stories and a little of our lives with you. We hope it’s been fun for you, too. :-)

For my final post I wanted to do more than type a few words. I wanted to talk to you “face-to-face.” Check out the video below for my personal thank yous, my latest news and where you can find me on the web.

Celebrating that Tenth Book Anniversary!

This month sees my Tenth Book Anniversary with Carina Press! It’s particularly cool because Harlequin keeps track of such things and I’m looking forward to seeing my name on the list of ten-book authors. Of course, there are ladies on … Continue reading

Maggie may need an intervention

MaggieWells (409x450)

Like most book junkies, I have a TBR pile that won’t quit and a tendency to abuse the one-click option. I read across genres and on multiple platforms – a fact that makes my hubby (a non-reader) crazy. Primarily, I … Continue reading

Starting Down the Road to Publication

Paintings of historical heroes are never quite as sexy as they are in the books.

I’ll be honest, my road to publication has been relatively short and bump-free…and as such pretty uninteresting. But where it began might be a little different to most, and is certainly pretty funny, so I thought I’d share that for … Continue reading

Feasting at the RWA Conference

This is the pile of high heels set aside while everyone danced at the Harlequin party at the RWA 2013 conference. When I snapped the pic, Carina Press Executive Editor Angela James informed me that one pair was hers and … Continue reading
